We had a visit from one of our parents who is a beekeeper. Cahir came to the nursery with a swarm of bees and showed us how the bees make honey. The children enjoyed learning all about the pollen and nectar and especially how the Queen bee makes the worker bees work. We even got to try on a real beekeepers costume. We got honey home and seeds to plant.
