In January
In January we have been busy making bird food with cheerios, apples and bread. We threaded them onto wire and then went out to feed them. We used binoculars in school to watch the different types of birds. We had fun making fake snow and playing with the winter animals in it. We watched it grow and expand in our hands and it felt funny. We did lots of mark making on the tables. Mrs Faloon squirted shaving foam and we all drew pictures. We have been using tweezers to pick up pom poms and fill test tubes. We filled them up so they were full /half full. In the water tray we have been busy washing socks and matching pairs. We had a visit from Mike from World of Owls for shared education - we met up with Orritor school online. The eagle owl flew around the room. He was very big and called Harley. He told us all about owls and what makes them happy and sad and what they like to eat. We painted robins and penquins and had lots of stories about these animals. We all enjoyed listening to these stories.
