With great delight, the Trustees and Board of Governors of Holy Trinity College can confirm that the Construction Notice for the new school build has been issued to the appointed contractor, Felix O’ Hare & Co Ltd. Construction of the new school building will commence on Tuesday 2 May 2023, a long awaited but exciting new chapter in the life of the school and for Catholic education in Cookstown. Health & Safety works in preparation for the new build commenced on Monday, 17th April 2023.
The new school building will be a ‘state of the art’ facility, providing a first class, quality education for 1300 pupils, within a modern, inspiring and innovative bespoke learning environment, and a project cost of circa £35M. Additional fundraising is also underway via the Foundation Board, Holy Trinity College, to provide supplementary resources and facilities to complement the Departmental funding for the new school.
As a school community, we have waited over 20 years to reach this very significant milestone. There have been challenges along the way, especially in recent years, but we pay tribute to the determination, commitment, resilience and vision of everyone involved in ensuring this project got underway. We look forward with excitement in watching the new school unfold and for our young people and staff to enjoy the fantastic facilities and resources within our long awaited new school building.
