Thanks to St. Patrick's P.S. Loup, Ballylifford P.S., St. Patrick's P.S. Mullinahoe and Derrychrin P.S. for their attendance today our annual Boys' Centenary Cup.
We had a fantastic league section where the teams played each other once. The football on display was top notch with some superb passing, teamwork and excellent score taking. After completion of the league St. Peter's finished top with St. Patrick's Mullinahoe second.
This meant both teams were to meet once more in an eagerly awaited final after St. Peter's had just done enough to win a very close league encounter.
After lunch both teams took to the field and from the throw in St. Patrick's looked that little bit sharper and tagged scores early to move into a lead that St. Peter's couldn't close. Despite a super effort in the second half from our boys St. Patrick's held on to clinch the cup for 2024.
