What a busy day we had today!
Firstly, Oonagh from St. Vincent de Paul called with us and some pupils from P7 presented her with a cheque for £300 after our recent non-uniform fundraiser. Oonagh sends her thanks to everyone for their generosity.
Next, we had Maria, Mairead and Conor from Halo Helping Hands call to collect all the food donations for their charity.
They thanked our school council and Mrs McGuckin and also asked me to pass on their thanks for our families' generosity.
Then, we had our assembly where we presented our 'Pupil of the Week' awards.
The children received their awards for
- being happy and full of joyful Christmas spirit
- being friendly, helpful and thoughful
- being bubbly, bright and going the extra mile to help others
- having lovely manners, being kind and a good friend; and
- being reliable, sensitive and caring
WOW!!
Congratulations also to Efthalia and Oran who won our school Eco Code competition.
And.... Thanks to Efthalia for ending our assembly with her beautiful rendition of The First Noel on the piano.
